Saturday me and my guy went to the movies at BAM. The plan was to see the new Woody Allen movie – Blue Jasmine, about a white privileged woman "who loses everything". But, after watching a few trailers at home we decided to check out Fruitvale Station by Ryan Coogler instead, a film based on a true story about a young black man who was "accidentally" killed by a policeman. When arriving at BAM, the line for Blue Jasmine consisted of hundreds of people, and that was for 1 of 8 screenings that day. Fruitvale Station had an audience of 11. 2 of them white. While the credits were rolling, 11 people were still sitting in their chair, unable to move, sobbing like there was no tomorrow. Just sayin Josefine Adolfsson , on spot; "I mean I love Woody Allen".
