Saturday night update on Clay: His day started with a pain spike around 5:30am and then around 6:30pm, but was quickly resolved with the pain team and our wonderful nurses. Physical therapy today consisted of sitting in the chair for 30minutes and walking up and down the hall a couple of times. He was wiped! He rested on and off today and is now sleeping like a baby. Tomorrow will be pivotal as they have been transitioning him today from IV to oral pain meds. They will also be removing the epidural and catheter. 😳 Looking forward to an afternoon visit from our awesome friends the Wolfes -- Daniel Wolfe, Cathy Wolfe, and kids! Thinking of the couple I met in the elevator tonight who wont be bringing their little guy Gavin home from the hospital...ever. Weve been through a lot this year, but all our kids are still alive. What more could we ask for? We are blessed...even in our trials...and even when we cant see it. Hebrews 11:1 ❤️
