Saturday nights recap- we humbly roll into a gig that is generally a bit outside our comfort zone... were used to volume, power, energy, a bass line and a drum set driving it. Usually with a few dashes of grit. Mebane Knights on the other hand is refined with terrific meat & cheese plates that go perfectly with wines from all over the world. Beauitiful antiques that fit an exceptional decor. So were feeling pretty good before we even start. Were planning on rolling a delicate show but the energy jumps up immediately without ever getting loud! The room is full of the usual suspects but then Judy & Yanni, Stephanie, David & Sharon, Connie, Schultzy & sister Deb, Cathy and several other VIPs drop in. Then Gary, the new bass player drops in with wife Jo to start claiming his new turf. We roll through our set with an acoustic flavor that brings a whole new personality, but nothing could have prepared us for the reaction to a substantial portion of the Praise Team doing Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone live... about a dozen smart phones come out to record it in front of a captivated audience. Needles to say, well be playing there again! Friday Dec 6th right after the Mebane Christmas Parade to be specific. Clay St in Mebane will be ablaze with Christmas spirit & were gonna invite it right inside for our Christmas show. If you were there last Sat night, youll want to come back for this. If you werent there last Sat nite, you definitely dont want to miss out when we deck the halls on the 6th!!
