Saturday the 18th of October This Saturday will see Ballachulish Star John Bullocks MacDonald pull on the Scotland Jersey once again at the Bught Park, Inverness. Bullocks has many International Caps to his name, and will be one of the most experienced members of the squad. The whole Club would like to wish the Scotland team all the best against Ireland, but John especially. At the Jubilee Park Ballachulish- Ballachulish v Fort William 1300 throw up This is a friendly match, arranged as both teams prepare for crucial promotion games at the start of November. Ballachulish have won South Division One unbeaten and played in the dramatic Balliemore Cup Final against Skye. Skye have won North Division One, dropping only one point, and also played in the Scottish Camanachd Cup Semi-final. The play off between the North and South Division Champions will be on the 1st of November at Blairbeg, Drumnadrochit. Fort William will prove to be excellent preparation for our play off match. Fort William were also Scottish Cup Semi finalists but have one National Division One match left to play, a winner takes all match against fellow contenders for the league championship and promotion to the Premiership, Oban Camanachd. Ballachulish have a couple players missing this weekend, including internationalist John MacDonald, but with the Second team completing their season with a comfortable 2-4 win over GMA last week, Ballachulish has a large quality player pool to pick from. This match will prove to be a good measure of the development of the first team over the past few years, with Ballachulish rising from South Division Two last year and Fort William dropping from the Premiership to National Division One last year, add to that some bragging rights over our Local Rivals, it is sure to be an entertaining encounter! Jubilee, 1300.
