Saturday with Wei-Wei. We enjoyed a day at the Great Plains Renaissance Festival at Sedgwick County Park. Many treasures were found.... as well as some interesting eats and beverages. I replaced a lost Mother-In-Law tusk... found a resin encased scorpion (the best way to deal my zodiac sign IMHO)... and have a new found pika friend who sits atop my index finger. And, yes, I am implying the pika is in fact a small puppet. Wei-Wei found several treasures as well. Most notably is a large red panda puppet. Uncle Jim Pickett would no doubt be very proud of her. I was amazed with my daughter. Making certain she got a few presents for special people (who I will not name so her surprise will remain intact). And she had lots of people who knew her and greeted her as a long lost friend. All in all, it was a very good Saturday. And filled with good memories to last a lifetime.
