She belongs to PEN America Center and the Brevitas online poetry community that celebrates the short poem. About Ras Moshe... Ras Moshe. Born and raised in Brooklyn NY into a musical family. He been playing music himself since the age of 10. Since 1986 he has been leading his own ensembles and playing in Jazz and Reggae groups. Primarily Jazz as of 1997. He is the founder of the Music Now jazz series at The Brecht Forum since 2000. Bernard began studying the flamenco guitar in the late 1960s with guitarist Mario Escudero, after seeing a flamenco performance at the New York Worlds Fair in Flushing, NY. He currently plays accompaniment for flamenco dance classes and performances from Jose Molina, the Ballet Hispanico and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.
