Saudi Arabia slashes Umrah visa validity by half to 15 days only RiyadhConnect The decision by the Royal Consulate General of Saudi Arabia (RCGSA) to slash the validity of Umrah visa from one month to a mere 15 days during peak season has come as a big blow to thousands of Umrah pilgrims from around the World. A notice has been sent to all registered Hajj & Umrah Agencies by RCGSA last weekend informing them that the validity and the duration of stay of Umrah visas will be 15 days only during the months of Sha’ban and Ramadan, the reason being a massive expansion work of the mataf (area of circumambulation around the Ka’aba). This comes as a huge disappointment to thousands of travellers who have already booked their tickets since Ramadan is peak Umrah time
