Saw The Secret Life of Walter Mitty last night at Edmond Town Hall with my friend, Justin Poletti and it is a terrific movie. I thought Ben Stiller is a standout in a seriocomic role as Walter Mitty, a negative assets manager of Life magazine who must track down Sean OConnell, a photojournalist played by a barely seen Sean Penn. I thought Kristen Wiig is interesting as Cheryl Melhoff, Walters love interest and I thought Adam Scott is hilarious as Ted Hendricks, Walters odious boss. I thought Patton Oswalt stole the show as Todd Maher, an eHarmony representative who you only hear the voice of until you see his face close to the end of the movie. The scene when Walter tries to send Cheryl a wink and the computer denies him is hilarious. A must see movie if you want to see Ben Stiller in a seriocomic role or if youre a fan of anybody whos in the cast. Rating 9/10.
