Saw a new oncologist today....has taken me off my thyroid medicine & will start a low-iodine diet. In 2 weeks hell test my TSA level (thyroid) and if its where it needs to be then I can do the radioactive iodine pill....if level is not high enough Ill continue with the restricted diet and be checked in another 2weeks. Once the TSA level is right I take the pill and go into isolation (due to the radiation) for at least a week. Dr. feels very good the one time radioactive pill will do the trick and I wont have to do anymore radiation or chemo!!!
