Saw an amazing film on Hulu yesterday Punk Syndrome. Its about a Finnish punk rock band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät. whose members all have some sort of developmental disability. The amazing thing about it is that it is really a film about four guys in a band and what is going on in their lives. Yes they have disabilities, but they have all the other stuff that all people go through, plus band stuff. If you have every been in a rock band you should see it. In some parts it is hilarious because these guys go though all the stuff rock bands go through. Bass players getting fed up with lead singers. General anger at the guy who didnt learn his part and is wasting practice time. Spinal Tap stuff. Its funny not because they have disabilities that is completely beside the point. Its just human funny especially to anyone who has been in a rock band, especially in a punk band ( I was once in punk band called Bran Roughage and another called Deco Shrubs) Check it out. youtube/watch?v=dGlZyLsogwU
