Saw an old friend yesterday. Most brilliant person Ive ever met. He has several advanced degrees . . . pathology, chemistry, anthropology. Im hesitant to even open my mouth around him because he honestly works and thinks on a very different echelon than I do. Nevertheless, he said that I gave him some brilliant advice years ago that had a profound impact on him. It literally changed the way he operated. I was stunned. I couldnt believe it. Heres our conversation: Him: You know, I must thank you for some brilliant advice you gave me years ago. It really has changed my day-to-day life. I truly appreciate it. Me: Wow! What advice was that? Him: How to make bacon in the oven. Turns out perfect every time. So, yeah, we all have our ways of advancing civilization.
