Saw many school finishers today. Reminded me :- #fbf 14yrs ago today yr2000 I finished yr12, I spent what seems like the whole 12yrs drawing big engined race cars in my school books during class, reading Street Machine magazines for homework, Talking cars during lunch. School Formal - Date? No thanks, 3 mates, Yep. Stylish limo for arrival? No thanks, VK GroupIII Brock commodore, shreading tyres and an alternator at the cricket fields carpark at chermside then smoking up Elizabeth Street outside the Hilton. (We got cut from the video that night???) I built a small block chev 12sec HQ throughout year12 when I got my license. My only goal i focussed on in 5yrs of high school was to do a ripper burnout after I graduated on the last day. Just like I drew on my backpage & bragged to my mates. I built the car, I tested it, I raced it, I drove it to the Gold Coast every Sat night. It was ready! The week leading up to the last day I avoided driving it incase i broke something. I spent $800 in a few finishing touches. It was tuned and prepped better then any V8 Supercar team. 5 yrs planning, nothing was going to stop me now, I was going to teach school a lesson via 2 fat black strips out the back.
