Saw my surgeon this morning and he told me that during my first surgery the other surgeon missed a a sack/mass under my hernia. The hole was closed so this mass had nowhere to move around and it pushed itself up around the mesh, in effect causing another hernia. He believes the sack was caused by strangulation from the original hernia. He cut the sack out and had it tested to be sure and it came back non cancerous. I was real close to gangrene or a life threatening infection. He said this didnt have to happen and the first surgeon blew it. Thank you Dr. Deaconson! You have been amazing! Back to work August 11 and I got about 20 lbs to put back on so I can get back to skinny!
