Saw this on its original run (was probably in December, so I was still 8...I turned 9 in the middle of January) at the old BG Mall theater, before they split it in two even. I was already a rabid Beatlefan even then. My dad, god bless him, went in with me and sat through it, though I seem to recall seeing him napping at least once. Months later, I dragged him once again to the Twin City Drive-In so I could watch it again in the summer of 69. Blew my little mind, thats for sure. I bought the comic, the toys, the paint set, you name it- if it had a Blue Meanie or a Submarine-style Beatle on it, I wanted it. I copied the art style, even, back when I took pleasure in drawing, before I learned better. Guess you can say I love this crazy movie.
