Say, It Is Well! [Tuesday, November 4] “The Spirit says, even as you look at your challenges begin to say, It is well! When it would be easy to draw attention to difficulty and despair, say, It is well! Know that each time you say, It is well, you open the way to the miraculous and new life shall enter your soul.” Prophetic Scripture: Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well (2 Kings 4:26). When the childless Shunammite woman gave birth to the baby boy prophesied by Elisha, surely she was elated (see 2 Kings 4:13-26). After the boy grew to be a youth, he was struck with a severe head pain and died. His mother decided to run and find Elisha. When she told her husband she was going to find the man of God, he acted doubtful that she would find him, but her only words were, “It shall be well” (2 Kings 4:23). She finally met Elisha’s servant who asked her if she was well. He continued to ask if her husband and child were well. All she would say was, “It is well.” She got to Elisha and he realized that she was internally distressed although she said nothing contrary. Immediately, Elisha went to her house and raised the boy from the dead. While the Bible doesn’t say it was her words that caused her miracle, it does draw attention to her constant repetition of the phase, “It is well,” spoken in her time of severe trial. Look at your situations today and say, “It is well.” The words will flood you with life and open your faith to a miraculous end to the story. Prayer: Lord, as I look at all my circumstances today, I declare, “It is well.” I say it over everything that concerns me and I shall receive miracles. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
