Say what you want about Alistair McCoist but he knows the standards and traditions expected from Rangers Staff,he understands the Mentality and club philosophy set in stone by the Legendary Mr.Struth. I sincerely hope that Ally is given a season in the SPFL to prove himself.I also hope he is financially backed by Ashley/Easdale. Ally McCoist has went from 3 players and no football license just 72hours away from a new season in the bottom tier to back to back promotions and going undefeated in the league last year in the process. A Cup Semi Final (& a Ramsdens Final too) with a team from the 3rd tier of Scotttish Football wasnt too shabby either. This year we are on course for promotion,already in the League Cup semi final and we still have a few other trophies to pursue. The team looks more comfortable each time they step up a league. I know sometimes the football as been dire but thats what happens when your Glasgow Rangers and everyone puts 10 men behind the ball when they play you ,aswell as raising their game against you. The players we have are all able to compete at SPFL level. If Ashley can put in place a scouting infrastructure and allow Ally to BUY his first players since we were liquidated then i think well see a competitive Rangers in the SPFL. I honestly think we are 3 or 4 good player away from having a team capable of WINNING the SPFL title in our first year,DEPENDING on the 3 or 4 players Ally is allowed to BUY. Either way,as a player Ally ALWAYS proved the doubters wrong and im starting to see small signs that he may well do the same as a Manager too. He has steadied the ship through the most stormy seas and for that he DESERVES a crack at SPFL and Celtic. Anyone else agree that its time to get behind Ally and stop calling for his head? Besides,you never know what kind of Dennis Wise or Joe Kinnear crackpot that Ashley will bring in as a replacement!! Patience Bears,Ally will come good if hes given the correct backing. Just my opinion. I feel Ally has merited the chance to lead us back into SPFL and ill be very disappointed if we win the Championship but Eadale,Ashley and Somer still decide to give him the boot anyways /ed w.a.t.p
