Saying that you cant have an opinion on feminism or gender equality or that your opinion doesnt matter just because you are white, privileged and male or female and living in the first world is so incredibly stupid. By that logic, we would still have slavery, because funnily enough it was white, privileged and clearly progressive people that actually helped (facilitated) the abolition of slavery. Im not saying that it wouldnt have happened without them but we are all affected by an issue that faces our society, so we should all be part of the solution. No matter where we are coming from, if what we believe is a good and just progressive belief, it is important. Gosh knows theres enough stupid or ignorant people out there who dont think that this stuff is important, stop having a go at people for getting behind important issues.
