Scarborough police are appealing for information after a theft of industrial power tools in the town. It occurred between 10.30pm and midnight on Sunday 30 November 2014, from the boot of a car parked on Murray Street. The thieves stole Hilti branded power tools including a nail gun, two rotary lasers, a line laser, two impact guns, batteries and brackets. Also stolen were two Dewalt tool belts. All of the Hilti products have the word Kiel written on them. The total value of the stolen goods is around £3,200. The Hilti branded tools are not available to buy off the shelf. PC Ryan Lyth, of Scarborough Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: I am asking anyone who was in Murray Street around the time of the theft and noticed anyone acting suspiciously to come forward and contact the police straight away. I also need to speak to you if you have been offered any Hilti branded tools, matching the description of those stolen, in unusual circumstances and ask that you contact the police as soon as possible. Anyone who can help with this investigation should contact Scarborough police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Ryan Lyth. Alternatively, information can be emailed to [email protected]. Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting reference number 12140207384.
