Scary day for our family. Steve was scheduled for a heart catherization today because he had 2 abnormal EKGs (one in July, one last Tuesday). He started experiencing some chest pain that traveled to his arms recently. During the heart cath, the doctor discovered 95% blockage & 80% blockage within his artery. Steve opted for the placement of stents in those two areas. There is another artery that is 60% blocked, but it may not need a stent if he doesnt experience problematic symptoms. He is in a private hospital room and doing well. He finally got to eat dinner at 7:30 after fasting since yesterday evening. I think he relished that sad looking chicken sandwich more than he ever thought he would! Im still in shock, but am so very grateful that he had enough warning & time to get the help he needed. We are so blessed to have health coverage, skilled medical teams and caring friends and family. Praise God!
