Scary moment this afternoon riding my road bike. Grinding along - TopicsExpress

Scary moment this afternoon riding my road bike. Grinding along on Grizzle Road in Dawsonville (small country / suburban road), minding my own business, keeping my line. Car comes by, slows, and stands on the horn (gee that never happens - its ALWAYS funny). I tell him hes number one. He pulls ahead of me a few hundred feet and slows way down - slower than my pace. Sensing trouble, I pull out my cell phone and pretend to take a picture of his car/tag. He pulls off the side of the road and lets me pass. He jumps in right behind me and follows me for about a half mile. I am pissing myself wondering what hes plotting on this small, deserted country road. Is he loading his gun? Plotting to run me over? I keep checking over my shoulder and he eventually pulls off. A brief reminder to everyone when they see a cyclist on the road: they have as much right to be there as you. They are a legal vehicle on that road. And oh, by the way, they are humans, not sport or targets. I am road raged just about every day I ride...most times its just a redneck that thinks its fun to pass me with less than a foot of space at 65 MPH. I am contemplating throwing my micro .32 on me from now on. How messed up is that?
