We started our Thanksgiving festivities with some of our family a little early this year. After all, we do have a lot to be thankful for! A new liver, Maylin being in remission, and a second chance at life...just to name a few.Plus many, many, more blessings. It was so great to spend time with our family and watch Maylin light up as she played with her cousins. She hasnt had the chance to really be around other children much. Because of the chemo and also being newly transplanted, we had to keep her isolated. When we went to liver clinic this past week they gave us the ok to let her go to church daycare on Sundays and other play group settings. Im really excited for her to have the opportunity to play with other children. Please continue to keep us in your prayers this week. May has an echocardiogram and an oncology appointment on Wednesday . They want to make sure the blood flow in her heart is back to normal since her port was taken out and they are also going to check her afp#. We are also in our 3rd round of appeals to try and get insurance to pay for genetic testing to see if Maylins cancer was gene related.
