Schleswig, a 25k town in the far north of Germany, could become the first German town where clocks dont matter, as the several clocks at the citys train station have been stuck at ten to twelve for several days now. The station has been privatized (first auctioned off over the phone to a guy with a Spanish number in 2012, then again to an anonymous south German investor who claims to have a “secret plan” for the building) and the restaurant and shop inside of it have been closed down. Most places in Germany people seeem to calculate the arrival and departure of trains to the second. But apparently not here. Or at lesst the non-working clocks dont matter enough for anyone to fix them. Maybe there is a reason for that: stopping time could be the only hope left for the town.
