Scholarships Available: Communitarian Integral Medicine. The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the University of Science of Health of ALBA-TCP in cooperation with the Ministry of Education has entered into a joint venture by offering scholarships for study in the specialty of “Communitarian Integral Medicine”, in the headquarters of the Latin American School of Medicine Dr. Salvador Allende. Minister of Education, Hon. Michael Browne has opined that the course provides to the students medical diagnostic and therapeutic skills that enable them to provide comprehensive medical care through health promotion, prevention, cure and rehabilitation of the of the individual, family community and the environment by using clinical and epidemiological methods with a marked social approach based on ethical, humanistic and solidarity values. The degree programme will be offered for a period of six and half years to successful candidates who have met the following general requisite: · Native and Resident of Antigua and Barbuda · Older than 18 years and not older than 24 Single Marital Status · Without children · Currently not studying any degree courses · Graduated from high school less than 5 years ago · Physically and mentally healthy · Applicant must come a low-income household Following benefits will be awarded to successful candidates who have been selected to study at the University of Health Sciences:- · Expenses (basic monthly allowance) · Airlines Ticket (roundtrip) · Installation costs · Student Housing · Health Insurance · Comprehensive care to fellows · Food service · Provision of uniforms · Instructional Materials and · Library Services Interested applicants must contact the Venezuelan Embassy to formalize their registration between September 1st to September 30th, 2014.
