Scholarships are available for Children’s Art Camp in July The Opp Cultural Arts Council will offer another Children’s Art Camp during July 21-25. The morning camp will be held for children in kindergarten through third grade, and the afternoon camp will be for children in grades four through eight. The cost of the camp is $100. Scholarships are available to any child who qualifies. These scholarships have been provided by the Solon and Martha Dixon Foundation, the Three Arts Club, Southern Independent Bank, and Covington County Bank. To sign up for the July morning or afternoon children’s art camp, call OCAC at 334-764-4611 or go to oppculturalartscenter.org and download the art camp and scholarship applications. During the June session, both the morning and afternoon camps were full and the children enjoyed art activities including watercolor, acrylic, and multi-media projects.
