School Mum Melanie has asked: Hi, any other mums out there sending their kids off to high school for year 7 for the first time? My 11 year old is starting on Jan 27th and I am a little nervous. Hes still so young, he turns 12 the second week of school, and he is autistic. I just wish they hadnt made these changes and he was able to to remain in primary school for an additional year. I have his uniform ready to go, he is happy to start and everything has been put into place for his special needs as they have a wonderful team of special ed teachers, I just cant help but feel nervous, I dont want him to get overwhelmed, lost, scared, anxious all of the above! Anyone out there in the same or similar situation? Worried mum.
