School bids to link up with its former pupils Leaders at one of Doncaster’s largest secondary schools are trying to bring together their former pupils – in a bid to help its current youngsters. Ash Hill Academy is trying to set up an alumni network – a contact group of the school’s former pupils. Those who sign up would be invited to events by the school, which are likely to include reunions of former pupils. It is also being suggested by the school that some alumni may be able to help current pupils. The campaign to track them down extends to pupils of the school under its former names – Hatfield Visual Arts College and Hatfield High School. A school spokesman said: “We are currently looking to build an alumni network for the Academy with the help of the education charity Future First. “We want to get back in touch with as many of our former students as possible, so we can keep them up to date with how they are all doing and to create a thriving alumni community around the academy. “By joining, alumni will get regular updates from the academy, be told about any exciting opportunities that are coming up, and be invited back to attend [...] sheffieldinnews/school-bids-to-link-up-with-its-former-pupils/
