Science Café: “Uncle Bill’s Bees” at the Midland Center for the Arts - October 6, 2–3pm Discover the science & engineering of honey bees! Join local bee enthusiast Bill Ferris as he discusses the science and engineering used by honey bees, as well as their contributions to our lives. Participants will sample honey and get up close to beekeeper equipment. Bill is retired from Dow Corning as a chemical engineer and is a part of the MCFTA education team working as a tour guide for the Alden B. Museum of Science and Art. He has been keeping bees for 35 years. Tickets: $5 call 800-523-7649 or at mcfta.org. Space is limited; RSVP is highly recommended. Appropriate for ages 4 and up; not recommended for younger children.
