Science has done it again. Its not only orbited a comet, it has successfully dropped a lander on it. To get the good feel for what actually happen I sum it up like this: Getting the probe in orbit is like shoot a speck of dust from Portland, having it go to Denver and curve back around so it hits something the thickness of two dimes in Seattle. Putting a lander down is like shooting a bullet from a bullet at another bullet. BUT as awesome as it sounds, its kinda boring to watch. Dont get me wrong I did the Meeposian Dance of Joy when it landed. In honor of the historic Philae lander making its descent to Comet67P. A great example of why the best science is really fricking awesome but makes crappy television. https://youtube/watch?v=-e5CtbbZL-k
