Scientists versus Historians? If Cagsawa was indeed buried by lava or pyroclastic materials as described, portrayed and written in most historical accounts and even in the historical marker, then in Photo 2 google earth shows Cagsawa at more than 10km and therefore, Apsemo should use 10km PDZ not 6PDZ as ordained by Phivolcs. As shown by Phivolcs in Photo 3 and Photo 4, lava never went beyond 6km and pyroclastic materials also did not exceed except in 1987 when it broke into Sto. Domingo. The argument is not between science and history since both seek the truth from facts. The real argument is between oral traditions, narratives and correspondences, that became history, versus geodetic, geochemical and geophysical evidence that is the basis of the 6KM PDZ. Actually, there is no debate, there are only errors in historical rendition that need correction.
