The dems who voted against the nominee, of course, knew the difference between appealing a death sentence and defending a cop killer or overturning his conviction, but, they know the power of manipulation by FOX. Given a choice between integrity and explaining the truth to their constituents, they chose to continue and support the lies of FOX in painting the picture of Obamas racist nominee. They forgot, FOX will target, support and delight in their defeat, just as they did to other blue dogs in 2010. During its campaign to derail Adegbiles nomination, Fox particularly focused on the NAACP Legal Defense Funds representation of Mumia Abu-Jamal that contested the constitutionality of his death sentence -- not his murder conviction -- a legal appeal that was ultimately successful. Abu-Jamal remains in prison for life.
