Scotland Scorch, England Edged, Wales Weak 2014 GB Juniors Report Aiden Anthony v Levi Coats (ENG) Aiden was the only Scot to get a bye. Aiden started fast not allowing his counter punching southpaw opponent to settle. Working hard every second of the bout with the English man edging the first and Aiden edging the second, the last round the English man just got a few clean shots the last 20 seconds and it was the English man got the nod. Levi Coats win 3-0. Calum Turnbell v Sam Clark (ENG) Calum put in another good performance pressing his English opponent at every opportunity. Both lads gave there all but the experienced Englishman just came of the better in the exchanges. Great experience for Calum. Sam Clark win 2-1 Ryan Ball. Ryans footwork was key in this contest - countering well on the back foot then adjusting his tactics taking the front foot catching his opponent with head snapping back hands. A fantastic performance by Ryan winning 3-0 William Stuart v Dylan Williams (WAL). This was a rematch from the duel 3 weeks ago when William was the easy winner. It was a crowd pleasing contest with both boxers standing toe to toe.i William that found the angles ,slipping round the side of his opponent the unleashing some hurtful hooks, the cleaner shots came from the Scotsman William Stuart win 3-0 Stephen Newns v Taylor Ailing (ENG) Stephen was up against a slick counter punching southpaw, but this never phased Stephen. He dictated the bout from the start keeping the English man under pressure with sharp straight back hands followed up with lead hooks , this was the same for all 3 rounds. Great win Stephen Newns win - 3-0 Daniel Allan v Thomas Hessin (ENG) Daniel never took a backword step. Using his jab with great effect then switching his attack when he closed his opponent down. His work rate and commitment was just to much for the Englishman, Daniel Allan win 3-0 Craig Fox v Ben Rees[ (ENG) This was a straight final. Craig was up against a much taller opponent and he found it difficult to close the Englishman down in the first round. He had success in the second and third, but it was the Englishman that was the cleaner puncher. Ben Rees win 3-0 William Hutchinson v Mohammed Akbar (ENG) Both boxers showed why they were both national champions - great skills by both lads were on show but William was the one who countered with the classier shots, switching his attacks and doubling up his attacks with great effect. William had the last word in all exchanges. William Hutchinson win.3-0. Mohammed Menskini v Temby Lewis[ (WAL) This was a rematch from the Howard Winstone cup 3 weeks ago which Mohammed won.
