Scotland provides the UK with roughly £12 billion in oil revenues - TopicsExpress

Scotland provides the UK with roughly £12 billion in oil revenues every year, of which (according to London based National Institute of Economic and Social Research) we get 9% back. If we become Independent we possess 85-90% of the oil and that is ours! Now Im not one to hang everything on oil but given that without oil we still generate 99% of the revenue that rUK generates, does this not make the oil a nice cherry on top of the independence cake regardless of how long it lasts? Now nobody knows how this would be spent but to put the potential in context we could have a £500bn oil fund, pay off our share of the national debt and still have hunners left over for one hell of a party. And to think people are scared we cant survive. We can thrive people. Have a look, Im not making this up!
