We’re members, with our wives, of the Harbor Island Yacht Club which is a rental opportunity to sail in the San Diego Bay. Well, a few years ago, we took our wives on what we now consider the best adventure vacation of our lives. The four of us got certified & then chartered a 43-foot Benateau sailboat in the British Virgin Islands for a week. As our very first “skipper” experience other than day sailing, we made about every possible mistake that new sailors could make – without sinking.
