Rider Behavior: This race is run on open roads, which means all riders and race personnel have to abide by the highway code. Marshals and convoy drivers are only there to help the smooth passage of the race, they have no authority to stop traffic, so please be understanding that they’ve given up their day to do this. No riders are allowed to cross the white line in the road on the A713 between New Galloway and Glenlochar. A common sense approach will be applied by the commissaires on the rest of the course. This is a major concern for the police and we will be very strict on this. Numbers will be taken and riders disqualified. Riders are not allowed to overtake the lead car under any circumstances. If for any reason the lead car has to stop, the commissaire will re start the race with the appropriate time gaps. If you need to have another bottle passed to you during the race, please only do this on the climb to the finish. It must only be done from the left hand side of the road only and not from a moving car. Race service: will only be provided in the form of spare wheels. Could all even number riders provide a spare front wheel and all odd number riders a rear. Mark your wheel well so it can be identified after the event. Please also note that it won’t be possible to ensure you get your own wheel if you puncture, so please be prepared to use someone else’s and that someone else may use yours. If there is not enough spare wheels given in, then numbers will be taken of riders who have provided wheels and only they will get a spare given. There will be two neutral service vehicles. First Aid: An official first aid vehicle will be the last vehicle in the race convoy and marked. NEG Moto Marshals: There will be official NEG moto marshalls throughout the race.
