Scouting needs your support: On October 4, 2013 as the Northwest Suburban Council bestows its community-based recognition, The Distinguished Citizen Award, on a stellar recipients’ list of Chicagoland business and community leaders. The venue is the 2013 NWSC Distinguished Citizen Banquet on Friday, October 4, 2013, at the Cotillion in Palatine. Cocktails at 6pm with dinner and program starting at 7pm. The Northwest Suburban Council (NWSC) of the Boy Scouts of America is a community- based organization providing youth with Scouting programs in 34 northwest suburban Chicago communities. In service to the boys AND girls in its membership the NWSC wholly embraces the national BSA brand “Prepared. For Life.” The NWSC works towards shaping and enabling young people for their futures through collaborations and partnerships with communities, schools, religious institutions, community organizations and businesses.
