Its an email from a headhunter: Hi Victor, I am looking for an Emergency Services Supervisor for a client of mine with operations in PNG.... Key accountabilities: Coordinate emergency service requirements across all PNG assets. Plan, implement and undertake duties as On Scene Commander at emergency incidents. Incident Commander Responsibility for multi agency responses throughout PNG. Provide technical support to all Departments in relation to Emergency Management ... Coordinating international ‘on job training’ with recognised service provider. Direct interface with the PNG Medical Dept. Work safely for long hours under pressure and cope with living in a remote locations. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Certification in disciplines such as fire fighting, rope rescue, vehicle extrication, SCBA, & Hazmat. Industrial Ambulance/Paramedic Level. PNG Class 3 licence. 10 years emergency services experience in a refinery, industrial or mining. Demonstrated ability in a leadership role in Emergency Services. Oil Spill Response qualification. Experience in training of a culturally diverse workforce. Experience in working in a remote environment with limited infrastructure and statutory support. Management of personnel and team building.
