Scratch Brown Sugar Raisin Pecan Cookies 2-cups self rising flour 1-cup sugar 1-cup brown sugar 1-stick butter 1-teaspoon vanilla 1/4-cup peanut oil (or other oil such as canola if allergic to peanuts) 1/4-cup water Optional-add 1/4 cup of raisins and 1/4 cup of chopped pecans to mixture Cream sugar, brown sugar and vanilla together...add flour to mixture folding together....pour peanut oil into the mixture and mix well. Finally, add water and mix well. Drop tablespoons of cookie dough on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325 for 8 to 12 minutes. Cover cookies with a towel to cool...place in covered container Makes two dozen cookies For holiday cookies add a package of Red Hot candies...about an ounce, pretty good and chewy. You can substitute a lot of add-ins....choco- chips....butterscotch chips...etc
