Scripture thought -- (been thinking on this one for a while...) In Mark 11:13-14, Jesus looks for figs, and finding none on the leafy tree - says no man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. In v. 21 Peter remembers the tree when he comes upon it (all dried up from the roots) Behold the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. V. 22 Jesus answers Have faith in God Then he explains that they can move mountains - with faith, not doubting. And I love in v. 24, he says Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Thinking about righteous desires -- not doubting, not fearing -- its so hard to disconnect from doubt/fear. When I read this last verse, It feels a bit like envisioning in my mind - believing, seeing, trusting - before it happens. The test is reality -- of course there is opposition - and logical reasons to doubt - or even adapt and adjust to -- but I want to try to spend more time in faith/belief, maybe if I give more time to this - the effects of reality will be lessened. Maybe Ill become more like a child? #ShareGoodness
