“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” – Psalm 139:23 David’s commitment to the Lord was clear from the prayer he prayed when he was accused by evil men. Instead of arguing with his enemies, David cried out to the Lord, who alone is the righteous Judge, who can discern his “heart” and “thoughts”. David desired to follow God’s will, so he asks God to examine his spiritual condition. What about you? Do you desire to follow God’s will? Are you willing to ask the One who judges righteously to examine your spiritual condition? What better way to start the New Year!!
