Seasons Greetings IVRPA Member, As the new year arrives, it is time to renew your IVRPA Annual or Associate Membership, if such applies to you, and exchange your 2014 gate key for a 2015 key. The new key will be needed to open the gate on and after January 7, 2015. We re-use the locks. So, if youre the guy who took the lock last year, please leave the new lock alone. The plan is to start the regular meeting at 6:30PM on January 6th. There was a relatively large crowd at last years January meeting. So, come early. Having your renewal application and liability waiver filled out will certainly speed things up. If you have not met your Annual Membership participation requirements, as outlined in the IVRPA Bylaws since October 2012, be prepared to pay Associate Membership dues. In other IVRPA news: The IVRPA First Annual Scholarship was awarded to Kevan Valenzuela. Kevan was our only applicant for the 2014 $500 award. The closing date for applications for the 2015 award is June 30, 2015. Applications for the IVRPA scholarship and information regarding the requirements for the successful applicant can be found at ivrpa.net. On Saturday January 3, 2015 the IVRPA will be holding two pistol classes for women only at the IVRPA Wheeler Range. The morning class will run from 9AM to 12PM and the afternoon class will run from 1PM to 4PM.You can sign up for the class by contacting Stacy Bodus at 760-996-3732 or simply reply to this email. The cost is $25, pre-paid. The club will furnish 22cal. pistols and ammunition. If you wish to bring your own handgun and ammunition, you may do so. The class will focus on gun safety, types of hand guns and how they function, then proceed to target shooting. Bring eye and hearing protection if you have it.
