Seattle-based creative agency The Cut has released a short video documenting the shifting definition of beauty over the course of the past century. Taking the best hairstyle and makeup from each decade from 1910 to 2010, a model undergoes successive makeovers by a whiz team of makeup artists and hairstylists to demonstrate the defining looks over the years, from the flapper-esque red lips and wavy bob of the ’30s to the hairspray-heavy updos of the ’80s.
