Second post of the back to back posts. Thanks! While BD and I are not married and have only been dating 6 months.. I have assumed the role of step-mom. My SS is 4 years old. Hes quite a hulk and is wearing small (5-6) clothes already. I have spent about $100 a month on clothes for him the past 4 months just to keep getting 4T clothes back. We have him 50/50. My boyfriend and I have both asked BM to stop putting him in 4T underwear/shorts as they cut into his belly and 4T shirts as they look like crop tops. She always replies she has lots of nice and expensive clothes that fit, but is afraid she wont get them back. We have yet to see them. BD and I have no problem spending the money for clothes that fit as long as my SS is comfortable. We want to know if we should just let it go and continue to buy new clothes to keep sending him home to BM in or should we buy a new wardrobe for her house and hand her the bags next time we see her? I cant take choking back tears when I pick up my SS from daycare and him asking if I can change his clothes cuz his belly hurts again. Thank you.
