Second session underway at the MCG with Australia resuming on 1-92 with Chris Rogers on 46 and Shane Watson on 41. And it was Watson who was the topic of the State of Play discussion at lunch with Jarrod Kimber telling Quentin Hull: Its so weird to think hes been with us for 10 years, only played 54 test matches and has batted pretty much everywhere. Other than Ravi Shastri there arent too many cricketers of his name in modern cricket who have batted in as many positions as he has. I remember watching him as young Shield cricketer and thinking he can bat anywhere he wants in the Australian top 6. And as a bowler he had that windmilling action. Weve never really seen that guy as a test cricketer. So...whats your opinion of Shane Watson - test cricketer? Unfulfilled potential or vital utility player in the Australian squad?
