Second year (or later) CS students, the CS-Capstone course - TopicsExpress

Second year (or later) CS students, the CS-Capstone course (previously known as How to change the world) has received very few applications, possibly due to the name change, who knows. Anyhow, the proposed company projects are pretty inspiring. Check them out, and if you are interested, ask Armi Temmes if it would still be possible to apply. As a representative of the New Global project I encourage you to pay attention especially to the Alshain project. The field work will take place in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania (field trip schedule is decided by students). The project description in Noppa is not so good, but basically students would have an opportunity to test and model the implementation of the frugal etching process in TZ with locals, and propose business model(s) around it. While the process is more environmentally friendly than the traditional one, adopting the process would also support local entrepreneurs and create positive social impact in the communities. If this would fit your schedule, check Armi asap, and send an application. https://noppa.aalto.fi/noppa/kurssi/21e12002/etusivu
