Security Advisory from Navy Europe TNOSC Event: Socially-Engineered Spear-Phishing by ISIS Affected Services: Social media networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc). Summary: (U//FOUO) Reports indicate ISIS has called on support to scour social media for addresses of DoD personnel and their family members. It is imperative to be cognizant of information shared on social media networking sites. Additionally, malicious users/hackers may target U.S. Govt. or DoD personnel with various ISIS themed spear-phishing emails. These emails may include a malicious attachment or link. Do not open or click on any attachment that contains any of the following: FROM: batelco.bh domain (i.e. [email protected]) Review privacy settings for Facebook and other social media put out by DoN.
