See and his winning entry -- a pied bluebar white flight hen out of Gerald Koopman X Jos Van den Broucke bloodline and with PHA band No.13-1305454 -- clocked 1,201.523 meter per minute to clinch top honors in the Young Bird series. Kerby Chua and his PHA-13-1306790 -- a blue cheque cock out of Luc van Coppenolle X Heinzseegmuller -- timed 1,195.087 meter per minute for runner-up honor. Third place went to first leg champion Jaime “Jimi” Lim and his PHA-13-1305659 -- a blue cheque cock out of Koopman Klein Dirk X Crack 52 bloodline -- which clocked 1,189.520 meter per minute. Also making it to the Top 10 were Lim, fourth; Emmanuel Go, fifth and sixth; Burlington Loft, seventh; Jude Sy, eighth; Victor Tan, ninth; and Warren Oliveros, 10th. In the Old Bird series, Alberto Lim shone with his PHA-13-1324652 -- a blue bar hen out of Nowen Passan X Desmet Matthys -- with a time of 1,192.939 meter per minute. Jude Sy and second leg winner Ricson Asilum finished second and third, respectively. Sy’s PHA-13-1324325 -- a checkered cock out of Luis Chiu X Sablon/Paquito Ngo bloodline -- timed 1,182.493 meter per minute, while Asilum’s PHA-13-1322564 -- a blue bar hen out of Henry Tan Vyver Mann X Jos van den Broucke origin-- clocked 1,182.099 meter pe r minute. A total of 763 birds out of 1, 304 birds from 74 lofts were clocked in the Young Bird category and 535 birds out of 958 birds from 57 lofts were clocked in the Old Bird series. Racing chairman Nelson Chua said the annual PHA series resumes with the fourth leg in Allen , Samar on March 2. The series resumes with the fifth leg in Catbalogan, Samar on March 9-10; sixth leg in Sariaya on March 16; seventh leg in Tacloban City on March 22-23; and eighth leg in McArthur on March 29-30.
