See that picture by my name? Yeah, thats my son who is serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pennsylvania. He chose to spend 24 months doing this, away from family and friends AND with very minimal contact with them as well. I miss him every day, no doubt... But there is not another place I would want him right now. He is learning about life, rejection, confidence, service, love, determination, and sacrifice. He has wonderful days and he has horrible days. He feels success and failure all at the same time. Would he trade it for anything else right now? Absolutely not. I believe in a Heavenly Father that loves His children and wants nothing more than for His children to return to Him one day. I believe in my Savior, my elder brother Jesus Christ, who suffered in this life for ME to be able to receive forgiveness and a way back to my Heavenly Father... Because I am FAR from perfect. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit that helps to guide my life each and every day. I believe that my religion and beliefs are the very thing that make me tick, a part of me, something embedded into my everyday life. I am who I am because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (and because of some really awesome parents that taught me correctly). I am a Mormon... And proud to be one.
