Seeing much hatred going on between religions. Personally whether Christian or otherwise have a respect for the right of others to be a part of whatever religion they like. Like selecting a favorite type of book or movie genre. The simple act of participating in a religion is harmless though some religions have rituals that require killing as a form of initiation this is the only thing I dont agree with on a personal level. Human sacrifice of the innocent seems to have become a frowned upon unacceptable practice at least for myself. I myself am not part of any religion choosing instead to follow a code of honor similar to that of knights and other guards. I often wonder if the perks of living in a type one civilization would include a world where things like this did not exist anymore. Technology makes the pointlessness of war visible at least to my own eyes. Will people in the future view sacrificial rituals as the common populations of the world today view life in ancient Maya? Strange questions but a kind of WWE match taking place in my mind on waking up this morning. Does anything justify taking away the experience of another person who is not a threat to society? Some seem to have no problem doing it and in fact serial killers across the world do it quite frequently. A member of ISIS who beheads people does that person ever wonder what it would be like if they themselves were beheaded. What if traditions like this made it into the cosmos and entire civilizations of war mongering space Mayans formed and began to conquer infinity one piece at a time? Space would be most unpleasant for all living beings wouldnt it? In a world where I am surrounded by more powerful forces that could end me or anyone else at any time for any reason in a number of ways all I can to is attempt to hold onto the force of reason in my own mind. Hope that some kind of law will stay intact without it I and many I know would have no defenses against the stronger ones in the world who may take it upon themselves to prematurely end the experience someone else is having for no just reason. What is Justice exactly in my mind I see it as a requirement for society to stay intact and in existence. Without a free universe life itself might never spawn out of the muck of planets. Just in a confused state about the concept itself of justice and its entire purpose. Whether I will be surrounded and overpowered by those more powerful than I or be accepted and join them in this experience as equals. I often feel when dealing with those of great power like I am in the movie mars attacks and no form of communication could ever cause the more powerful one to see me as an equal. Though I myself treat lesser beings such as animals and those more ignorant than I as equals despite the fact that I could easily use my intellect to harm them or steal from them. Is mercy a weakness is kindness a weakness or is it a strength? I myself have always tried to not fight with people if an exchange of words can help avoid it. Not out of fear but out of respect for my own body and the body of the other person as nature makes males of every species end one another at times when they could have formed a beneficial alliance. Some might argue this eliminates natural selection but I believe it speeds the development of any species. As I have mentioned before the more ants in the ant colony the more capable the colony is. Perhaps a group of lions who did not kill each other would grow in number and run the grasslands and eventually even develop farming instincts. After a time this would lead to the growth of greater intelligence in that species all from the application of empathy. Empathy may be the glue that holds a species together and prevents it from becoming extinct. Too much of any good thing is always bad however. In my eyes though too busy being thankful for my own random existence than to be worried about dictating someone elses. It is of course only by pure chance any person exists to begin with so life itself seems to be a living form of luck to me. These opinions are all of mine hopefully it does not make me sound weak or seem as a dysgenic member of this species. Dodo birds to me are a prime example of having too much empathy they walked up to sailors after watching them behead other birds they knew. They had no empathy for one another if they had it might have saved their entire species. Extreme torture in training can make a being as strong as it could ever want to be I feel this morning. If I can go train in a simulator and gain the full experience of an event I feel that this might be another example of technology eliminating the need for forced suffering. Pondering on how life would be in more advanced civilizations would ritual sacrifice, stalking, theft, and virtually all over types of crime be eliminated or hyperinflated? I suppose it depends on the actions of those with the most power in a species. They seem to steer the entire ship for everyone else and there are rough nasty parts of the ocean. I can only hope that the ones in charge will steer this cruise ship of humanity to a vacation area not a slave processing facility island where escaping the sisters is impossible. youtube/watch?v=zGnDm6Ubi_c
