Ok, so my husband and I were talking this evening about hummingbird feeders during the colder weather. I saw a comment about a heating pad on a feeder to keep it from feeding. How does that work? If it is still cold and snow on the ground and near freezing temperatures at the beginning of April - I am talking Northern Indiana - when the migration begins, how do you work the feeders without them freezing? Is it where you bring them in at night and put them back out in the morning? I am curious of your experiences and how you have handled this? It doesnt get warm around here until the end of April -first of May in our area.
