Seems to me as one who wears the badge, it doesnt matter how people are treated in this country. We recently had a rally held in downtown Cleveland in support of law enforcement. I to support law enforcement for the record, however not blindly,. I interact with deputies m police officers and other agencies on a daily basis. Believe it or not racism exist in law enforcement. Yes, there are a few bad apples among the ranks...yet it appears people remain blind to this fact. As I see the controversy plaguing this country the issue isnt do the public support law enforcement, its more how the laws are enforced. If anyone really believe the laws are enforced equally across the social boundaries which exists then I hate to say you are a fool Instead of holding rallies where one side inflaming the other, there should be dialog and oversight. If a crime has been committed law enforcement has a duty to act, no doubt. I was taught, along with others on how to respond to different situations including an active shooter. Ive taken people into custody numerous times without incident. Some incidents were volital, and physical. Ive been extremely fortunate to where the use of deadly force was not necessary. This job is not an easy one nor is everyone cut out for the stresses associated with it. Lives matter plain and simple, no matter where one falls on the social ladder. Lives are being lost unnecessarily because of lack of training, and an uneducated public. I have always maintained education begins at home. I firmly believe we are all culpable in some shape or fashion. I am not naive enough to blindly support law enforcement when I know there are bad apples in the bunch.
